Bruker, the US specialist for instrumental analysis has taken over the Austrian measurement technology provider Alicona Imaging. Alicona specialises in optical 3D surface metrology for quality assurance in laboratories and production. The technology of the Graz based company is used in manufacturing processes and products of the machine tool industry, medical technology, forensics and microelectronics. The sale to Bruker brings the successful collaboration with the private equity fund advised by Quadriga Capital to an end. During their time together, Alicona was able to drive its internationalisation, significantly expand its product portfolio and to almost double its number of employees to over 150.
